Grown above nineteen hundred metres, where cold nights slow the cherry and concentrate the sugars. Altitude is what gives highland coffee its brightness, its structure and its clean, long finish.
Roasted to order in small batches and shipped within days — never sitting on a shelf for months. Each profile is dialled to the lot, so the origin comes through in the cup, not the roast.
The clearest window on the terroir. Bright acidity, floral top notes, tea-like body. Roasted just past first crack to keep the fruit intact.
The balanced sweet spot. Rounded body, caramel sweetness, gentle acidity. The forgiving all-rounder that works in almost any brewer.
Deep, rich and full-bodied. Cocoa and dried-fruit notes, low acidity, a syrupy finish. Built for espresso and milk.

Shop the roastsThe story goes that a young goatherd named Kaldi, tending his flock in the East African highlands, noticed his kids skipping and dancing after nibbling the bright red cherries of a wild shrub. He tried them himself — and coffee, the story ends, was born. Rift Kid is our tribute to that first discovery, and to the hillside it happened on.
Every bean we roast is single-origin heirloom Arabica, grown above nineteen hundred metres in the Great Rift Valley and traceable to the farm and cohort that picked it. Grown at altitude. Roasted in small batches. Shipped fresh.
